WebbI was thinking a good way to mitigate the danger is to make rabid skags/stalkers attack anything in the vicinity, including others of their own species. Which makes sense, given that they're rabid. They'll still be fucking tough opponents, but at least you'll have a chance if they aren't focusing solely on you all the time.
