During some research on the IMR hi shocker 700 x powder, I have seen a lot of folks say it is the same as Hodgdon 700x, well that is true I contacted Hodgdon today and they confirm it was the same. The only other difference is that 700X was being made in a General Dynamics plant in Canada and beginning in 2015 Hodgdon is having it made in the USA, but the powder is the same spec as it has always been. It let's you enter a lot of different shotshell components and then gives you loading data using those components. They list several loads for 700x that will get you in the 1100 fps range. It requires less powder than Titewad and consequently you may experience sunken crimps, but no problems with powder blow-by possibly due to the larger flake size.
