Web9 jul. 2006 · It seems to me most cigarette lighters are about a 15 AMP circuit. 15 AMPS being the fuse in the circuit which would mean that the circuit runs about half of that amperage. Not sure of the amperage. I know that throughout the 80's the GM lighter circuits were on a 20 Amp fuse but they also had some of the interior lights on the same circuit.
