The general consensus here seems to be that most people (hosts and guests) prefer parties where gifts are not opened, just not everyone knows it’s an option. I do know some people who open gifts after everyone leaves but I don't like to do that. I know I enjoy seeing someone open the gift I brought. Hope that helps. S.
